What This Group Is About

Healthy Relationships After Trauma is a trauma-informed, in-person group for women who want to build healthier, more fulfilling relationships—starting with their relationship to themselves.

This group is designed for women who feel stuck in familiar patterns of overgiving, disconnection, anxiety, or self-doubt in relationships. Many participants are navigating the long-term effects of emotional neglect, developmental trauma, abuse, loss, assault, infidelity, divorce, or other painful experiences. Even when life looks “fine” on the outside, something inside still feels unsettled.

Rather than focusing only on talking through experiences, this group supports healing at the nervous system level. Through embodied, integrative practices, you’ll learn how to cultivate self-compassion, recognize your needs, strengthen trust, and relate to others from a place of greater safety and clarity.

You’ll also be held in community. Trauma can be isolating, and healing often happens more deeply when we’re reminded we’re not alone. This group offers a supportive, women-centered space to practice connection, boundaries, and presence—without pressure to share more than feels right.

What Makes This Experience Unique

This group is co-facilitated by Barbara Ferri, LCSW, and Amber Valdez, an intern therapist at Solum Life Therapy, providing added support, presence, and nervous system awareness throughout each session. This group blends trauma-informed therapy with holistic, experiential practices to support whole-person healing:

  • Sound healing to calm the nervous system and restore balance

  • Therapist message support in-between sessions to practice what you’re learning

  • Guided meditations to support presence, regulation, and inner safety

  • Journaling practices to deepen insight, clarity, and self-trust

  • Supportive community to foster connection, validation, and shared healing

Sessions are held in person in Durango, within a setting that supports grounding, embodiment, and nervous system regulation.

If you’re ready to move beyond survival patterns and cultivate relationships rooted in trust, safety, and authenticity, this group offers a supportive next step.

We move slowly, with care. You’ll never be asked to share or participate beyond what feels safe for you.

A Message from Your Guide…

Hey Everyone,

I’m so grateful that you are considering my Healthy Relationships After Trauma group as part of your wellness journey. I am proud of the group offering I’ve created. I’ve included all of the best methods for generating more peace within yourself and in your relationships. I’ve always been a collective thinker. I love that people can come together to share, support, and find healing with each other. This is something I wish I had access to in the earlier stages of my own healing journey. I am authentically connected to what I will share with you in this group because I’ve been there too. It’s taken a lot of commitment to myself, and accepting help from others to become the partner that I am proud of today. If you want to connect with others, learn, and grow, this group is for you!

I look forward to connecting with you,

Be well, Barbara

If this feels meaningful, you’re in the right place.
